WLC 2012 win the “Ohio Blue Jackets Challenge Cup”

The 2012 Pee Wee Major team recently traveled to Columbus for the Ohio Blue Jackets Challenge Cup, where they faced off against several top ranked teams in the country.  They earned quality wins vs very strong Windy City Storm and Milwaukee Jr Admirals teams in pool play. Next, their tenacious spirit and gritty effort propelled them to an overtime win in the semi-final game against the Indiana Elite, setting up the final match where they faced the Ohio Blue Jackets.  Down by a goal with the final minutes ticking off the clock, the Little Caps dug deep and put the puck in the back of the net to send the game to overtime.  Scoreless through the next 5 minutes, it became a goalie faceoff in a nail-biting shootout.  At the end of 3 rounds, the Little Caps emerged victorious, ending the showcase with an undefeated record and the title of OBJ Challenge Cup CHAMPIONS!  Coach Dano Silvers is excited about he’s team’s progress:
