Washington Little Caps Welcome Mike Donnellan as new Hockey Director

The Washington Little Capitals are proud to announce that Mike Donnellan will be joining the Club as our new Hockey Director. Mike brings with him a wealth of hockey experience, a proven record of success, and a true passion for player development. He is an elite bench coach and developer, who is known for running high energy, up tempo practices and having the ability to bring the best out of his players.
Mike will direct the Club’s day-to-day hockey operations, supported by Brad Kostrzebski (Director of Player Development) and Bryan Reel (Director of Player Advancement) as the heart of our leadership corps.
Donnellan said “I am thrilled to be the new Hockey Director at Washington Little Caps. With strong support from our ownership it is safe to say WLC is entering a very exciting chapter of its reputable history. The upcoming months and years will see this program soar to new heights with nationally competitive teams and a culture that cannot be matched. There are many exciting announcements to come. We are just getting started.”
“Mike is stepping in to pilot an exceptional leadership team – one of the strongest the Little Caps has ever known,” offered WLC Executive Director Doug Plocki. “Mike is widely respected for his ability to foster a winning culture, developing elite players, and building strong relationships with players, coaches, and parents. We are confident that under his leadership, the Little Caps will continue to grow and provide an exceptional experience for our young athletes.”
We would also like to thank Lyon Messier for his years of dedicated service and leadership within our organization. Lyon’s tireless efforts on behalf of the WLC have launched the successful careers of many talented young men and women, and he leaves a lasting influence on our Club.
Please join us in welcoming Mike to the Little Caps Family.
