2012 Little Caps Go Undefeated at CCM Happy Valley
State College, PA — The Washington Little Capitals 2012 Bantam Minor team continued its strong start to the season, going a perfect 5–0 this past weekend at the CCM Happy Valley Tournament hosted at Penn State. The sweep extended the team’s winning streak to seven games, bringing their overall record to 9–2.
Head Coach Derric Trudeau credited the group’s commitment to culture and work ethic:
“The team is fully buying into being a family. They like to work and continue to get at least 1% better every day. Our standards and accountability are player-led and it’s infectious. The Little Caps Hockey system is working—it develops players, gives them more touches, and makes the game fun. This is a really special group to be part of.”
The 2012s are thriving in their first season of checking and have shown depth in scoring across the lineup. The roster is still awaiting the return of two key players, Greyson On and Anthony Arnone, both veteran AAA skaters eager to rejoin the squad.
Next up, the Little Caps face Palmyra in a weekend doubleheader at Klick Lewis Arena, followed by a matchup with Philly Hockey Club in Pennsylvania. The team returns home to Ion International Training Center on November 1st at 6:00 PM.
